Rosé wines are having a renaissance a the moment, mainly due to winemakers using Rosé as a creative outlet. There are very few ‘rules’ surrounding rose, which makes it quite the playground.
This little number from Rob Dolan is a good example of aRosé with fun and finesse. It’s blended predominantly from Merlot, and then a mix of Pinot Gris (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The result is an juicy and fresh wine, with lifted raspberry and floral notes, but with a dry and slightly more savoury palate, making it beautiful with lighter meals.
